If you execute python <path to>/edk2/BaseTools/Scripts/SetupGit.py in your repository, it will automatically set up things like: - correct subject line tag - always generate cover letter (which can be ignored for single patches) - diff orderfile
but git does not let you set --stat and --stat-graph-width options, so they need to be specified manually.
