Reinhard,
We had internally with the ST colleagues involved a discussion following your presentation "Generator Concept" https://github.com/open-cmsis-pack/devtools/blob/main/tools/projmgr/docs/Man... during last week Open-CMSIS-Pack meeting. We are not sure to fully understand all the aspects of your proposal including what problem you want to solve by introducing the *.genlayer.yml and the consequences of it. We need more time to further think to it and understand how it compares with existing github issues discussion also related to generators e.g. the latest inputs from Fred in issues #104https://github.com/Open-CMSIS-Pack/Open-CMSIS-Pack-Spec/issues/104, #76https://github.com/Open-CMSIS-Pack/Open-CMSIS-Pack-Spec/issues/76 , etc. However, due to some internal milestone, we will be only able to start working on it beginning of October.
Regards,
Eric
